Achilleas Christidis | 12 to 28 July 2017
Anti Art Gallery welcomes in Antiparos new works of painting by Achilleas Christidis. His exhibition entitled “Paros” will last from the 12th until the 28th of July.
The intense colors and the continuous movement are central to his work, depicting in vivid glory the Cycladic landscape. As Cleopatra Liakopoulou mentions, during a previous exhibition of his work in Theorema gallery in Brussels, “In Christidis’ work an explosion of emotions takes place without us being able to explain why a flower or a cloud can provoke such a reaction to the human soul. The intense paint brush that perhaps reminds us of the sensitivity we sometimes forget, makes our glance more human and powerful”.
Achilleas Christidis was born in Piraeus in 1959. He studied music and stage scenery. He is self taught in painting. His works are in many collections in Greece and abroad and he has made 35 individual exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He lives and works in Athens.
