Io Aggeli | 20 June to 2 July 2015

Anti Art Gallery opens its summer season with the new pieces of art by Io Aggeli. The artist will be present at the opening of the exhibition on Saturday 20 June.

Art critic Elisavet Plessa comments that Io Aggeli’s work can seem like topographic maps with 2D models of buildings and vegetation on them, as looked at from a height, with complete absence of human forms – stripping the landscapes from any connection with the soul and making them more spiritual. The artist paints the open boundaries of expanded horizons – appealing to what the eye really sees, rather than what the mind interprets.
