Biography

Mariano Franzetti, born December 2, 1978 in Rafaela, Santa Fe, Argentina, begins to attend the Faculty of Architecture at the National University of Cordoba, Argentina and the third year he left school to move first in Buenos Aires, where he decides to devote himself exclusively to painting, then in Italy, driven by passion for art, and looking for those Renaissance painters that have inspired his works like Raphael and Caravaggio. He arrived in Italy in 2004 in the town of Civitanova Marche (MC), where he participates in cultural and artistic events in the Marche region. In 2005 he won the Young Artists Biennial Marche. In 2006 he won the 5th prize “Medusa Aurea” AIAM, International Academy of Modern Art, Rome. Now he is art director at an architecture firm that operates in counseling style for construction of stands, showrooms, villas, shops and restaurants (www.opera-lab.com). The painting of Mariano Franzetti has Renaissance origins, interpreting figurative art in modern key, with contemporary subjects belonging to a real world such as dreaming world. Many of the players remember his hometown, with bright colors or scenes of everyday life scenarios taken from Buenos Aires. His painting comes from the observation and not by academic school, and this leads him to make endless experiments, a constant search for new techniques, new materials and applications of art.
