Dimitris Kalandranis. Born in Cairo in 1936 to Greek parents. He worked for Swissair in Greece for 30 years. He lives now on Paros Island and has been painting since 1997. He followed some basic courses in painting but soon he discovered his talent in abstract art. He applies various techniques and works mostly with his fingers using materials such as sea sand, gyps, marble dust, glue, mixed with acrylic colours. He prefers to work on wood. His paintings were exhibited in four personal and five joint painting exhibitions on Paros Island.He is also a newspaper article writer, a story writer, a poet and a musician.
