Γιώργος Χαδούλης ζωγράφος

George Hadoulis (born 1966) lives and works in Athens.

He studied at the École des Beaux-arts in Paris and has pursued a singular career with a love for painting and it’s intrinsic challenges.

Working in a wide range of media, including painting, print-making and  drawing, he has consistently explored the nature of perception and representation.

From his early experiments with abstraction and expressionism, to his most recent, jewel-toned landscapes, vibrant rock paintings and studio views, Hadoulis has examined, probed, and questioned how to capture the perceived world of movement, space and time in two dimensions.

Ceramic has been also central to his practice. Intrigued not only by its great importance within art history but mostly for its utilitarian value, from pots to houses, fired clay was used to build civilization.

Inspired by nature, mythology, and the human form,  his  ceramic work  is infused with the effortless exuberance the Mediterranean.

With both intellectual rigor and sheer delight in the act of looking,    Hadoulis evokes a world of spontaneous sensuality that radiates joy and optimism.

George Hadoulis has exhibited widely in solo shows and has been included in many group exhibitions internationally.
